Recognition of Achievement – Free Membership

Free Membership for Life

Awarded to members who compete at senior level, in any discipline, at the following competitions;

  • Olympic Games
  • World Championships
  • European Championships
  • Commonwealth Games

Free Membership for 3 Years

Awarded to members who compete at any age group level (excluding Masters) at the following competitions, when selected by a National Governing Body or English Schools;

  • Youth Olympic Games
  • World Championships
  • European Championships
  • Commonwealth Games

Awarded to members whom receive an International vest at junior or senior level, when selected by a National Governing Body, including Schools internationals.

Free Membership for 12 months

Awarded to members who achieve any of the following performances;

  • Top 3 position in any age group National or International Championships, including English Schools at any recognised track and field event
  • Top 20 position in the National Cross County Championships at senior men or women or Top 10 in any other age group, including English Schools

Awarded to members whom receive an International Masters vest when selected by a National Governing Body

Conditions

  1. Where the performance is achieved during the current calendar year, free membership is awarded and commences for the next membership year on the next 1st
  2. Only includes recognised Track & Field, Road and Cross Country competitions.
  3. Athletes must complete a membership form each year to enable the membership secretary to gain the information required to renew athlete registration.
  4. Athletes must be first claim members of Mansfield Harriers during both the time when the achievement was made and during the full period of the award.
  5. Free membership ceases when the period of award is completed, or the member ceases to be a first claim member, whichever is sooner.
  6. Free membership can only be awarded once for each category, competition and international selection, however this can be upgraded to life membership.
  7. Athletes competing under any other recognised group/club at the time of the achievement are not eligible.
  8. All awards are subject to verification before notifying the member, by the club Trustees prior to the new membership year commencing.
